Doris Hullett’s thoughts on “Most Important Travel Tips for Business Travel and/or VacationTrip.

The most important travel trips for business and/or pleasure have several variables which will directly affect what you need to pack for a very important business trip or vacation.

Before you embark on your journey, consider the following: Where are you going? What season is it? Why are you going? Business, pleasure or both?

With that in mind, a couple days before the trip begin setting aside some of the things you know you will need for the trip to avoid last minute panic. Make a list of everything you don’t want to forget, and check off the items as you complete your packing.

The following is a bare-bones essentials list. Add a few more interchangeable clothing outfits if staying additional days or week. Remember also, that you save money if your travel suitcase is small enough to fit on board, rather than as a luggage piece stored in the baggage compartment of the plane. Think “efficient.”

WHAT TO PACK IN YOUR SUITCASE OR CARRY ON BAG FOR BUSINESS AND VACATION TRAVEL:

  1. Clothes that color coordinate around conservative colors like black, white and grey. Separates are easiest for interchangeable outfits. Add two colorful accessories for mixing and matching: a shawl, scarf, belt, jewelry, colored clutch. Take one fancy outfit for that special night out. Men, take a nice tie; it looks good on you.
  2. One pair of jeans or casual pants.
