Marketing under the Microscope
68
Have you studied your particular market, market product, marketing strategies or your Market-You, Inc. recently? How healthy is your business? Put your marketing under the microscope.
Networking with individuals gives you an opportunity to not only connect with like-minded business professionals, it gives you an opportunity to put your business under the microscope: how effective are you? How well have you networked? Where can you improve? What should you change? How should you change?
Each networking event gives you an opportunity to improve your effectiveness, communication skills and learn as a marketer.
I am currently in Atlanta, GA on a business trip. I joined a MeetUp group to connect with other business professionals; the beauty of putting yourself in a position of business growth is that you never know what will be the outcome of every decision you make—you just know by faith that taking action produces results.
This meeting almost didn’t take place because of some miscommunication on the part of the MeetUp newsletter; life circumstances happen. However, out of 45 people, six people showed up: the right people for the right event.
Unplanned, and through positive, unforeseen schedule changes, Mr. Kirk Bogue volunteered to give of his time to us an impromptu presentation of the ActionCoach Business Coaching concept. His integrity to on-the-spot deliver an unplanned meeting on his part was very appreciated by those that attended the Meetup.
You must ask yourself as we did, “If I put my marketing strategies and methods under the microscope, what would the health of my business look like?” Periodic check-ups and evaluations are necessary for the life of the business.
The ActionCOACH Business Coaching presenter gave interactive steps on developing one’s business. The following questions can help uncover effect business practices, or lack thereof. Evaluate the following components, and write your answers down (no, do not make a mental checklist!) to get a clearer view of what actions steps you need to take for your business health and business growth:
1. Do you commit to action? How?
2. How accountable are you to yourself. How about to others? What checks and balances are in place?
3. What skills do you need? List them.
4. Have you prioritized your goals? Short term/long term.
5. What are your habits? Good Habits/Bad Habits. List them.
6. Have you listed your abilities in the present tense?
7. Are you considering your future if you fast-forward 5 years from now?
8. What is your business impact? Who are you helping? Do you have a mission?
9. What are your limiting thoughts that disable growth?
10.What business formula do you have?
These are just a few of the things that I came away with from the MeetUp. Mr. Bogue’s presentation was very interactive and transforming. The ActionCOACH Business Coaching approach assists businesses in their growth.
Definitely commit to putting your marketing and business practices under the microscope for evaluation if you want to take your business to the next level of success.
